The challenges in biomedicine are complex, and solving them requires collaboration from experts across a wide range of fields — clinical, experimental, computational, engineering, and others. By bringing these experts together, both in-person and virtually, we can find new ways to collaborate and accelerate scientific progress.
We support this interdisciplinary collaboration through meetings, workshops, hackathons, science conferences, and more. Workshops Workshops bring together scientific leaders from specific fields to learn about current challenges and discuss future opportunities to help them advance their fields.
Investigator meetings are all about collaboration. We also convene graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and staff scientists to share their work and build community. Hackathons and jamborees connect grantees and partners with CZI staff to dive deep into coding and computational biology.
For all our convenings, we aim to invite speakers and attendees with a diversity of perspectives and range of experiences. We have Community Participation Guidelines for our meetings and online communities, and we offer family care support when needed to ensure anyone can attend our meetings.
