Little building bricks? You could actually hear the internet face palm itself, as claims of Hollywood selling out,and running out of ideas flooded message boards. Its really no surprise that Warner Bros have decided to give him his own spin-off, but why will this be the best Batman film ever? Batman is arguably THE biggest superhero around, maybe even ever. You can interpret Batman in many, many ways, and people have. The first major screen version of Batman was the Adam West camp classic version.
You have to see the scene where Batman is trying to get rid off a bomb, it really is very funny. Then there was the Tim Burton gothic films of the the early ninties. It was scary in places. I remember as a kid being scared of Jack Nicholsons Joker face. People die in this film! No one ever died when Adam West was behing the cowl. Batman was now blockbuster, but he felt grown up, and intimidating. Joel Schumacher then took over and pretty much ruined whatever credibilty Batman had mainly by giving him a credit card and nipples!!
It was a massive success and The Dark Knight is one of the best Batman films to date. If he can go from a dancing batman in spandex to bat nipples to realist, to old er man, there is absolutely no reason he cant also be a lego piece. Isnt it about time Batman was FUN again??? The Lego Batman is going to add tonnes of needed humor to the character. Afterall, its a man who dresses as a big bat, how can that not be made fun of?? The first teaser dropped and it was pretty much perfect.
It was a short but very funny trailer, with the latest trailer not disappointing either. Will Arnett is comedy brilliance. Its funny, sad, deep and silly. Ok, so a good cast doesnt exctly guarentee a good film, but just look at the talented people lending their voices:. Acting royalty — Ralph Fiennes as Alfred. I had no idea Fiennes could be funny but he had me laughing in hysterics in the Grand Budapest Hotel.
