In a scene symbolic of the devastating impact of Vladimir Putin 's war in Ukraine , a two-month-old baby boy was carried to his father's coffin after the heroic pilot was killed during a combat mission. Pilot captain Serhiy Parkhomenko, 25, from the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia, died whilst fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region in eastern Ukraine. His two-month-old son, too young to realise his father will never come home, was carried to his father's funeral in Vinnytsia by a man believed to be Parkhomenko's father.
