To browse Academia. Although gender and attitudes towards women is an important subject studied by different fields of psychology, there are a finite number of studies on women in Turkey. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship of benevolent and hostile sexism in adult women with attitudes towards gender roles and different sex roles. In line with this purpose, Ambivalent Sexism Scale, BEM Sex Role Inventory and Gender Roles Attitude Scale were applied to women chosen by adequate sampling method in order to determine the benevolent and hostile sexism, attitudes towards gender and gender roles.

The data were evaluated by correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was found out that the gender role attitudes predict the benevolent and hostile sexism points in a substantive way. On the other hand, gender roles predict the benevolent sexism points. Based on these results, the mental health campaigns for declining the prejudice connected to gender to women may focus on the women who have traditional gender role attitudes.

In the first part, the types, features and purpose of Sceptic thinking are summarized. In the second part, the modes of thinking are investigated as articled and put forward in a table. In the last part, the relations amongst modes of thinking and existence, language and thought are examined to understand and determine what type of relations Sceptics establish between the aforementioned aspects in the suspension of judgement.

This study is based on text analyse method. As a general result of the paper, it is possible to say that Sceptics use the modes of thinking to suspend the judgement about the possibility or impossibility of true knowledge and by doing so they developed a different way of criticism than classical logic tradition, but they are not able to escape from serious criticisms.
