In fact, Cartagena, Colombia is also closer to Miami than some famous Caribbean islands. Travelers arrive daily on American, JetBlue, Spirit, and other airlines. Several cruise lines — including Norwegian, Carnival, Princess, and Disney — also include it as a port of call. I decided to visit the city only a few days after seeing a sale fare to Cartagena from Ft. Lauderdale on JetBlue. Impulsively, I booked it and then researched hotels.
